The year is 1971, spring: The Rolling Stones have left GB and retreated to the Belle Epoche house Nellcôte on the southern French coast. Between excursions to Monaco and Nice, the band works as if in a frenzy and records the album "Exile on Mainstreet". The blues should serve as a weapon against the world, showcasing a "feeling of joyful isolation, grinning in the face of a scary and unknown future." (Mick Jagger)
